Causes of turning and twisting of metal stamping parts and solutions

(1)Reasonable mold design.In progressive die,the arrangement of cutting order may affect the forming precision of stamping parts.In order to reduce the impact of blanking force on the forming of stamping parts,a large area of blanking is arranged first and then a small area is arranged.

(2)Press the material.To overcome the traditional mold design structure,the discharge plate is opened on the discharge plate(that is,when the mold is closed,the discharge plate is attached to the die,and the clearance between the discharge plate and the die at the place where the material is accommodated is T-0.03~0.05mm).In this way,the discharging plate moves smoothly in the press and the material can be compressed.In the key forming part,the unloading plate is made into a block structure,so as to conveniently solve the grinding(pressing)damage in the pressing part of the unloading plate caused by long time stamping,but the material cannot be pressed.

(3)Add strong pressure function.That is to add the thickness of the pressing part of the discharging insert block(normal thickness of the discharging insert block H+0.03mm)to increase the pressure on the material of the die side,so that the stamping parts will turn over and distort when punching and cutting.

(4)The end of the punch cutting edge should be beveled or curved.This is a way to slow down the blanking force.Reduce blanking force,can reduce the die side of the material drawing force,so as to achieve the stamping parts turn over,twist effect.

(5)In daily mold production,attention should be paid to maintain the sharpness of punching convex and concave die edges.When the punching edge is worn,the tensile stress of the material will increase,so that the stamping parts have the tendency to turn over and distort.

(6)Unreasonable or uneven blanking clearance is also the cause of blanking and distortion of stamping parts,which should be overcome.

Metal stamping parts in progressive die,by punching the stamping parts around the method of residual material,to form the shape of stamping parts.Blanking force is the main cause of stamping parts turning and twisting.During blanking,due to the existence of blanking clearance,the material is drawn on one side of the die(the material warps upward)and compressed on the other side of the punch.When discharging plate is used,the discharging plate is used to compress the material to prevent the material on the die side from warping upward.At this time,the stress condition of the material changes accordingly.With the increase of discharging force,the material on the punch side is stretched(the compression force tends to decrease),while the material on the die surface is compressed(the tension force tends to decrease).The flip of the punch is caused by the material on the die surface being stretched.So blanking,pressing and pressing the material is to prevent blanking,distortion.

Causes of turning and twisting of metal stamping parts and solutions:

1,the stamping produced by the rough edge.It is necessary to study the punching cutting edge,and pay attention to check whether the punching clearance is reasonable.

2.Blanking and distortion of blanking parts have occurred during stamping,resulting in poor forming after bending,which should be solved from blanking cutting station.

3.Stampings become unstable during bending.Mainly for U and V bending.To solve this problem,the leading position of the stamping parts before bending,the leading position during bending,and the clamping material during bending to prevent the stamping parts from sliding during bending are the solutions.
